I’ve missed this feeling. The feeling of complete exhaustion at the end of the day, when the very last thing I do/did was go to the gym. LA Fitness has a pool, so I couldn’t resist but force myself to swim 10 laps. It was exhausting, but so much fun.
Afterwards, I hit the dry sauna to relax my muscles before going back out for some one-on-one time with the punching bag. Some other dudes came in to punch some of the other bags and they were damn good. I can’t wait to see how I’m doing a few months down the line. After that, I decided to hit the sauna one last time before coming back home. I was still soar from my routine yesterday, so I did my best to keep things ‘light’ today.
Tomorrow, I’ve gotta kick it up a notch or two. I’m so stoked about being able to work out at night. It’s my favorite time to go to the gym. Perhaps maybe next term, I won’t have any problems being able to get to the gym first thing in the morning, and the last thing at night. It sounds stupid, but I’m excited about possibly being able to go to the gym twice a day. Maybe alternating cardio with weight training, with laps in the pool and/or a kickboxing, spin class, zumba, or something of the sort.
It might sound as though I’m being cynical, but I’m not. I really feel as though joining LA Fitness is the best decision I’ve made in a long while.
In other news, a close group of friends came over last night for our bi-monthly movie night, shindig. With it being the Halloween season, we watched two movies. One of them being, Hocus Pocus (a classic) and Trick ‘R’ Treat. During the party, Savannah gave me an envelope with money from her parents for my photography job on the cruise ship. I was somewhat shocked when I opened the envelope to find $250 in it. I honestly only photographed their party for about 2 hours – and managed to walk away with a large amount of cash! This makes me wonder whether or not I should just place this money into my account or invest it into some new camera equipment for the future. Decisions, decisions…
