“Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it.
That time will pass anyway.” – Earl Nightingale
I hold this quote very near and dear to my heart. I’ll be graduating with a Bachelor’s degree around age 30, when the average 26 year old already has their Master’s degree already. Regardless, I can’t let that hold me down, because I figure that I’m still a step ahead of those that still haven’t pursued theirs.
On another note, it’s 330am and I’m cramming to complete an essay that I need to turn in within a couple of hours. Not only that, but I also have a final exam to take, right after I turn in my paper. Hahaha. People might consider it a stupid move, but in all honesty, stress helps me get things done.
Another thing this quote motivates me about is physical fitness. Due to the constant need to work on various school assignments, and the inconsistent school schedules/terms, I’ve been lacking for way too long. School obviously takes a great amount of my time, as how I do as an Undergraduate determines whether I’ll be able to get into Graduate School. Thankfully, next term will be one of my lightest terms since I started school, enabling me to focus some more time on working on my goal of running another marathon next year. I think I’ll start panicking if I have less than six months of crunch-time left and haven’t made any progress.
Regardless, I know what I need to do to get my body back to where it was. Of course, there are moments where I feel like time isn’t on my side, but luckily I’m stubborn and could really care less about what ‘time’, or other people say. This is simply due to the fact that I know myself and I know what I’m capable of accomplishing; whether there are people rooting for me (or otherwise). Anyway, I feel my brain turning to mush, so I hope this entry is/was comprehensible!
Have a Happy Monday, everyone! :]
